On this week’s podcast, Joey, Cherish, and Lauren talk more in-depth about our latest video essay, “Editing: Creating the “OH F**K” Moment” – written and put together by our own Joey Scoma. We discuss where the idea for this video came from and how it developed, and why editing is simultaneously necessary and extremely difficult to teach. We also delve a little further into the closely-knit ties editing has with directing, and how editing is best learned through failure. We also bring up the other editing concepts that eventually had to cut from the video… which could be hints at later essays down the line!
